SEIF DESIGN OÜ is not registered for VAT. Prices shown are the final price payable; there is no VAT component to state or itemise.
2. Scope
These terms govern all orders placed through seifdesign.eu (“the shop”). By placing an order you confirm that you have read these terms and agree to them. We may amend these terms; the version published on this page at the time you place your order is the version that applies to that order.
These terms are written for consumers buying within the European Union. Alongside them, Estonian law applies, in particular the Law of Obligations Act (võlaõigusseadus) and the Consumer Protection Act (tarbijakaitseseadus), together with the mandatory consumer protections of your own country of residence.
3. Placing an order
Select the items you want, add them to the basket, and complete the required details at checkout, including your delivery address and preferred delivery method. Please check that your details are correct: we deliver to the address you provide, and you are responsible for its accuracy.
Displaying a product in the shop is an invitation to order, not a binding offer. The contract of sale is formed when we have received your payment in full and confirmed your order by email. If we cannot fulfil an order — for example because an item is no longer available — we will contact you and refund any payment in full.
Orders that have not been paid for are cancelled 48 hours after they are placed.
4. Prices and payment
All prices are in euros (EUR). The price shown at the moment you complete your order is the price that applies, even if prices change afterwards. Delivery cost is shown separately at checkout before you pay, and is added to the price of the goods.
Payments are processed by Montonio Finance UAB, which provides card payments and bank payment links. We do not receive or store your full card details. Payment is taken at the time you place your order.
Because we are not registered for VAT, no VAT is added at checkout and no VAT is itemised on your order confirmation.
5. Delivery
We ship from Estonia to the European Union. Orders are dispatched within two working days of payment being received. Estimated delivery times after dispatch:
- Estonia — 2–3 working days
- Latvia and Lithuania — 3–5 working days
- Finland and Sweden — 4–7 working days
- Rest of the EU — 5–10 working days
These are estimates, not guarantees. Carrier delays, customs handling and public holidays can extend them. Once your parcel is dispatched we will email you the information you need to collect or track it. Parcels sent to a parcel machine are held for a limited period, typically seven calendar days, after which they are returned to us.
Risk of loss or damage passes to you when you, or a carrier you have chosen yourself, take physical possession of the goods. Until then the risk is ours: if a parcel is lost or damaged in transit, contact us and we will replace it or refund you.
If we cannot deliver within the agreed time or by the agreed method, we will tell you as soon as possible and either offer a suitable alternative or refund you within 14 days.
6. Right of withdrawal (14 days)
As a consumer you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving any reason. This right is granted by the EU Consumer Rights Directive and applies in addition to your rights if something is faulty.
To exercise it, tell us clearly within those 14 days — an email to info@seifdesign.eu is enough. Include your name and order number. You do not need to use a particular form of words.
After notifying us, return the goods within 14 days, or provide proof that you handed them to a carrier within that period. You pay the cost of returning the goods when you are withdrawing because you have changed your mind. If the goods are faulty, incorrect or damaged, we pay the return cost — see section 7.
We will refund everything you paid, including the standard delivery cost of sending the goods to you, within 14 days of receiving your notice. We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or you have supplied proof of return, whichever is earlier. If you chose a more expensive delivery method than our standard option, we refund the standard cost.
You may handle the goods as you would in a shop, to check their nature and characteristics. You are liable only for any reduction in their value caused by handling beyond that. The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to your individual specification.
7. If something is wrong with your order
We are liable for any lack of conformity that exists when the goods are handed over and becomes apparent within two years. During the first year, a defect that appears is presumed to have existed at the time of delivery unless we can show otherwise.
If your order arrives faulty, damaged or incorrect, email info@seifdesign.eu with your order number and photographs. We will repair or replace the item, or refund you, and we pay the return postage for valid claims. Full details are on our Warranty page.
8. Natural materials
Our products are made from stone, wood and leather. These are natural materials, and no two pieces are identical: grain, colour, veining and pattern vary from item to item, and will differ from the photographs in the shop. Product photography is representative rather than an exact likeness of the piece you will receive.
This variation is an inherent property of the material and is not a fault. It is what makes each piece unique, and it is not grounds for a defect claim. Stone and wood also develop a patina with use — this too is expected, and is described further on the Warranty page.
9. Complaints and disputes
If you are unhappy with anything, contact us first at info@seifdesign.eu. We aim to reply within three working days and to resolve complaints within 14 days.
If we cannot reach agreement, you may refer the matter to the Consumer Disputes Committee (tarbijavaidluste komisjon) at the Estonian Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority, Endla 10a, 10122 Tallinn, Estonia — ttja.ee. Referral is free of charge.
Consumers resident in the EU may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/odr.
10. Privacy
We process your personal data only as needed to fulfil your order and meet our legal obligations. How we do this, who we share data with, and the rights you have are set out in our Privacy Policy.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by Estonian law. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence, which continues to apply in full.
